I just met a poet named Kat
Who's as clever as Cat in the Hat.
She writes about creatures
With scurrilous features
Who don't always know where they're at.
One was a skunk Kat named Dot,
Whose unplanned excursion Dot got.
She woke up in Toronto
And more quickly than pronto
The locals welcomed her not.
And then there's the groundhop named Willy
Who provokes human actions quite silly.
Like Phil in the US
He's relied on to tell us
When winter will end, willy-nilly.
The irony to me is that Kat
Has more than just one favorite cat.
Just north of the border,
Of cats she's a hoarder.
Believe it not, that's that.

Well! Thanks very much Lee. This is a first for me, having someone write a verse wherein I'm the subject! Well done!
May I link to this directly on my blog?

I just want to say I really like the new look! It's very fresh and like the sea. Clean and crisp and tranquil.
My mother comes from the East Coast and I love the Atlantic Ocean. It's in my blood.

Glad you like the new look. I was never happy with the other.
I've put a link to your blog on my sidebar. Asking forgiveness rather than permission.
Thanks for putting a link to The Thirsty Muse on your.
It is SOOOO cool to read a poem about a blogger who writes poetry from another blogger.
Loved it!
Yes, Kat is quite the interesting character! I am glad to "know" her, too.
